About Our Campsite

Great Journeys. Fascinating Places.

Our campsite is situated in the UNESCO Wadi Rum Protected Area, near the stunning Jebel Al-Qattar, in the "Sunset Area" (Um Sabatah). During the sunset, our camp offers stunning views of red and white sand dunes. Leave your problems, traffic, and fellow travelers behind! We are located 12 kilometers from Rum Village and 17 kilometers from the Visitors Center, right on the edge of the Protected Area's Wilderness Zone.

The camp has existed in Wadi Rum since 2003. The Wadi Rum Protected Area covers 74,200 hectares, which is roughly the size of New York City. Here you will find a tranquil spot, wonderful Bedouin food, a magnificent untamed desert, a true fairy-tale place at night, stunning sunsets, and a perfect and authentic desert experience to be explored! The red sands and sandstone mountains create a Mars-like environment, making it a popular Hollywood filming location. It's known as 'Mars on Earth'.

Breakfast, lunch, and a buffet supper are included with your stay at our camp. You may also stroll a large rock from the rear of our tent to witness sunrise/sunset (free), which takes only 3 minutes.

About Wadi Rum

Wadi Rum is a breathtaking desert landscape located in southern Jordan. Wadi Rum, known for its towering sandstone outcroppings and red and white sand dunes, is a popular tourist destination for people drawn to nature's enchanting beauty. Wadi Rum's position, roughly 30 kilometres off the major Desert Highway between Aqaba and Amman, making it a true 'off-the-beaten track' destination. This distance lends Wadi Rum its distinct character as a lonely and tranquil location. However, since its popularity has increased over the last two decades, there are now several Bedouin-style camps that provide tourists with a unique experience of desert life, including the option to sleep beneath a starry sky.

About Our Service

As a wonderful host, we can provide a complimentary pick-up service from Aqaba or Petra via our reliable taxi driver.

We had been working with a group of freelance drivers. And we do not charge them a commission or add a percentage to their rates. To make things easier for you, we provide free transfer services.

For your information, there is also a minibus that travels from Petra everyday at 6.30 a.m. and arrives in Wadi Rum at 8.30 a.m.; the minibus costs roughly 10 JD per person, and the bus from Aqaba to Wadi Rum departs daily at 1 p.m

If arrival at the Wadi Rum Visitor Centre, each guest is required to pay a government admission charge of 5 JD for each person (waived if obtaining a valid Jordanian pass).

We offer designated free parking for guests with rental automobiles in Wadi Rum Village, which is located just next to the Wadi Rum Rest House. We will next make another pick-up and transport to our campground using our 4x4 wheels.
